IB Global Conference 2018

Bob (center) chatting with IB educators in San DiegoThe International Baccalaureate (IB) recently celebrated its 50th year at the recent IB Global Conference for the Americas in San Diego, CA from July 26th – 29th. Search Associates was delighted to attend!

The conference, whose theme was “Shaping the Future,” provided an opportunity for Senior Associate Bob Imholt to meet and collaborate with IB educators from North, Central, and South America, as well as from all over the world. Bob said,

“It was a great way to connect with some very excited educators. I met so many amazing, enthusiastic people from all over the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Their energy was contagious!”

The IB programme, in existence since 1968, provides unique and rigorous learning for students in many of Search Associates’ 700 member schools around the world.

Whether you are new to the IB or have been working in an IB school for years, the IB Global Conference is a great way for teachers, administrators, and IB coordinators to discover new ideas and further develop their schools’ IB programmes. Participants learn from fellow IB practitioners while reflecting on their own practice. The positive energy and collegiality ensures that attendees will kick off their upcoming school year revitalized and inspired.
