Oberoi International School and Search Associates are pleased to announce the appointment of Harish Kanabar as Head of Primary School at Oberoi International School’s OGC campus in Mumbai, India, beginning July 2026.

Harish brings three decades of leadership in international education, with extensive experience guiding large primary divisions across the Middle East, and China. Most recently, he served as Head of School at Shekou International School, where he navigated pandemic challenges, led major campus redevelopment projects, and advanced inclusion initiatives. Prior to that, Harish was Primary Principal at Shekou International School and Qatar Academy Sidra, where he introduced and embedded the IB PYP framework, strengthened student support, and fostered community engagement. His earlier leadership at Qatar Academy Doha focused on technology integration and professional development.

In announcing his appointment, the Head of School at OIS shared: “We are happy to welcome Harish as the new Head of Primary for OGC. His expertise and warmth were evident during the interview process, and we look forward to working with him as we prepare for the next academic year.”

Harish himself expressed his excitement in a message to the OIS community: “It is a genuine privilege to join a school that already feels warm, thoughtful, and deeply committed to its learners. During my visit, I was struck by the confidence and curiosity of the students—it showed me what the PYP looks like when it is part of everyday school life.”
